Julie Culley currently runs professionally representing Asics. Two time Olympic Trials qualifier ('08, '12), Culley has made multiple national teams during her professionl career. The first for the 2008 World Indoor Championship where she competed in the 3,000m. She again represented the US for both the 2009 World Cross Country Championship and again for the 2009 World Championship in the 5,000m. In 2011, Culley was US 5k Road Champion. At the 2012 US Olympic Trials, Culley outkicked American record-holder Molly Huddle to win the 5,000m earning her a spot on the US Olympic team for the 2012 London Olympic Games where she made the final.
As a collegiate runner at Rutgers University in New Jersey, Culley was All-American in cross country her senior year. She set school records in the 3,000 m, 5,000, and was a member of the school record DMR. She also earned Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year accolades and was Academic All-American three times.
